The whole of summer 2025 Vega World Heritage Centre hosted the exhibition Ahoo ahoo – an art exhibition in honour of the eider ducks and their guardians 27.04 – 30.08 2025. The show included all the work from the Norwegian project of The Conference of the Birds including the series of photographic and sculptural portraits by the artist duo Eyes as Big as Plates, aka Karoline Hjorth (No) and Riitta Ikonen (Fi/US). Eva Bakkeslett (No) showed the poetic documentary film Ahoo Ahoo, the eider duck suit I the Duck / Æ ea and the accompanying video of The Making of I the Duck as well as the sculptural piece Eider House. The film Ahoo Ahoo was exhibited on a screen in the galleryspace and also shown in the cinema room of the museum.
The exhibition was opened with an artist talk and ended with an Eider Down Day with different activities.
